Good luck to him. Hope he can resuscitate his career. Please can any of the Edds now shed light in what his contract was at liverpool as it appears that stopped him.
Or am I misinofrmed. Will be interest in to. Fulham too with a goo buisness with the 6 moth deal, not taking any chances. Agree 1 1 Disagree 01 Feb Agree 3 4 Disagree 01 Feb Happens to often these days.
Good move for club and player. Agree 2 1 Disagree 01 Feb Someone finally said it. Am not one to hammer our players. But this lad was lazy you could see it when he played.
I watched him several times for u23s and lads like Curtis Jones Adam Lewis etc were actually running past him to close opposition down. But he had what 3,4 loans and failed in most of them.
He was also offered several chances to go restart his career and choose to sit on his contract not playing football. I hope as he matures in age he will step up and use his ability and actually put his full effort in.
Markovich moved too soon and cost far too much money, and to have him hanging around Liverpool all this time is a joke when he was clearly never going to play.
His loan moves have failed and if I remember correctly he refused to go elsewhere and chose to do nothing at Liverpool but just take wages.
Liverpool made a mistake signing him, but he hardly tried to prove his critics wrong by putting the effort in. Agree 2 0 Disagree 01 Feb He had chances to move but the money was more important than kickstarting his career so he hung around like a bad smell draining as much money from us as he could whilst putting in minimum effort.
I find that a bit strange, as surely his minutes will be limited in our first team squad. Agree 6 0 Disagree 31 Jan Agree 5 0 Disagree 31 Jan Klopp said he got impatient before, so hopefully Ben realises now that loan moves are not beneficial 9 times out of He should stay at Liverpool where he can learn from world class players and coaches.
Agree 10 0 Disagree 31 Jan Agree 16 0 Disagree 01 Feb I am hoping to see him get some minutes off the bench over the rest of the season. Fingers crossed for the lad - if even one of him and Brewster come good over the next 12 months or so, it will be a big win for us as a club.
The club look to be taking it slow to get brewster ready for a good preseaon and it seems to be that klopp prefers to have the older players like Sturridge and Lallana in the matchday squads.
If it was up to me if they are training well I would give them a shot off the bench, up to them to take the the chance as at the moment Sturridge and Lallana are not taking there chance from the bench.
I assume forwards have been looked at considering the potential exits of Sturridge and Origi. Also do you see Woodburn going on loan again this window?
BW will almost certainly go on loan. Are they a good fit for him? Agree 0 0 Disagree 30 Jan Agree 2 0 Disagree 31 Jan His versatility is his hindrance as he gets moved around too much.
Right now I see him becoming poor mans Dirk Kuyt, runner and poacher if he takes some poaching lessons from Kuyt. Maybe playing in germany should be in his future.
Agree 0 0 Disagree 01 Feb He just needs to regain confidence. I think he is technically superb, a fantastic finisher and has great movement.
Playing for a team with the right style of play is most important and I think scoring a few goals for the u23s for the rest of the season would be best.
Who knows - if he picks up some form I could genuinely see him coming off the bench in some games during the run in. At 22 years of age and with his ability have we looked at enquiring about him?
I see Christiansen higher up the pecking order than Sturridge was. Agree 2 1 Disagree 30 Jan Agree 1 0 Disagree 30 Jan So why would moving to Liverpool make any sense for the player?
Lloyd Kelly - Do we still hold interest in the young LB? Can also play CB. Secondly - With it looking likely Lallana and Milner will be heading towards the door if you believe stories.
Would love it if we went after Lewis Cook. I see a lot of potential in him, again strong in the tackle but knows where the goal is and always look for the forward pass.
More than that I cannot say without some issues arising. Certainly Liverpool made no offer for him. Rather think we should be able to beat Leicester without having to rely on one or two players.
Agree 2 6 Disagree 29 Jan Agree 22 0 Disagree 30 Jan Agree 7 0 Disagree 30 Jan I do agree that they are kidding the geordie mind. Your input is very much appreciated by a lot of us on this site.
Looks like we will have to defend deeper, no other option. Just Pray VVD can get off his sick bed. Agree 4 9 Disagree 29 Jan Agree 6 19 Disagree 29 Jan Could well be a struggle especially if Virgil is out.
Agree 5 11 Disagree 29 Jan Agree 16 1 Disagree 29 Jan We have just had 11 days off, and we are playing at Anfield under the lights. Our defence and midfield will be similar to theirs but our front 3 will cause them all sorts of problems.
The team will need the support more than ever on Wednesday, stay positive. No more negative posts. Agree 19 5 Disagree 29 Jan
